Erectile dysfunction being one of the most common illnesses found within the Male Reproductive System has been linked to Genetic Factors causing a 30% risk for the illness. The newly identified risk factor is a single nucleotide polymorphism on chromosome 6. Having a thymine nucleotide at this position supposedly increases the risk of contracting erectile dysfunction by around 25%.

I have learnt that there is another way to contract Erectile dysfunction aside from ways I have learnt involving the circulation such as heart disease, high cholesterol and blood pressure as well as psychological factors.

It can make people more aware of different ways people contract Erectile dysfunction and can help in explaining for those who unfortunately suffer the illness from Genetic factors.

Erectile dysfunction being an illness that is known to affect 40% of men with penises has been shown to be contracted through Genetic factors which shows a new potential risk for contracting the illness aside from the usual ways.

I think that people should be more aware of this illness that unfortunately many suffer and should take it more seriously. I say this as some people usually see erectile dysfunction as a laughing matter or not a serious threat to people when they don’t realize how this illness can psychologically affect a person possibly causing depression and anxiety which may possibly lead to much severe consequences.
